Much Ado About New Works

Standard

Britches and Hose has been having a busy winter!

Our 2016 New Works Festival, featuring nine never-before-seen short plays, was a hit! You can watch the performances for yourselves on YouTube here, and view a complete list of playwrights, directors, and cast members here. Please be advised that some plays contain strong language.

Auditions for our first production of 2017, Much Ado About Nothingwill be held Saturday, January 7th from 1:00-4:45 at Martha Washington Library in Alexandria. Much Ado About Nothing is romantic, clever, witty, features ridiculous vengeance plots, and is widely considered one of Shakespeare’s most appealing and approachable plays. Show dates are March 17-19.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Actors also have the option of presenting a prepared classical monologue (no more than two minutes, please). Resumes and headshots are welcome, but not required. You may arrive at any time within the 1:00 – 4:45 window, but be advised that we will not audition any actors who arrive after 4:45.
